Let's see if I can answer your questions (out of order):
(2) I helped Carnonymous with his blogger template. We like each other's blogs. He links to me, I link to him.
(3) The zombie blog is a little fiction I whipped up after a zombie movie discussion with a friend of mine. It's more of a joke between us than anything else and probably doesn't generate much traffic.
Now to your first question (and your more general topic): I provide three free linking services. They generate traffic to and from member sites. In return, all I ask is that members add a link back to MaximumAwesome.com. You are free NOT to include this link, just as I am free NOT to include you in the service. If you are looking for an immediate boost of hundreds of thousands of visitors, then I'm sorry, I cannot help you there. Linking is a longterm strategy.
Honestly, I just run a humor site. I like it. It's fun. Occasionally a visitor or two will send me a note that they also got a chuckle. I'm less interested in web traffic than you might think. These linking services are just my way of trying to contribute to the web community (especially bloggers) because there seem to be a lot of them who DO care about links and traffic. As far as pagerank, that is also a long term thing. Google does NOT update pagerank daily. It is my understanding that pagerank is only updated every 4 to 6 months or so--again, it is another longterm thing.

Per your questions on my forum (regarding exchange.maximumawesome.com -- don't worry, I won't hyperlink it here):
Once you sign up to a free photo hosting service such as Photobucket.com (with whom I have NO relationship--I just use their service) and upload a photo (such as a banner), you will see a URL for that pic. If you have any trouble MAKING a banner, let me know and I will try to help you (although this week is a little crazed).
The coupon code you were asking about is included in the code you get when you sign up. I'll double check that. Maybe I wasn't clear.
